EmC Developer Package

EmC is Emtron's own scripting language, built for writing custom functionality that runs inside your Emtron device. If something you need isn't in the standard feature set — a specific CAN integration, a custom transmission strategy, a control routine unique to your vehicle — EmC lets you write it yourself.

Scripts are written and compiled in the EmC development environment in compatible Emtron software applications. The language is C-style and statically typed, which means most mistakes are caught when you compile.  Your scripts read and write live device channels, drive script-controlled outputs, send, receive and can subscribe to frames on the Can Bus.

Because a script is compiled to a binary before it reaches the hardware, your source code stays yours. You can supply a compiled script to a customer or another workshop without handing over the source, and once a binary is loaded onto a device it cannot be read back out.

The Developer Package is supplied as a 12 month subscription giving you access to compile and run EmC code, and includes three Application Builds — each one activates EmC on a single device.

Writing and compiling EmC code requires a current EmC Developer Package.

An Application Build covers the device, not the development.

Currently the TM16 is the only Emtron device compatible with EmC and the devloper enviroment is through TmTune.  As more Emtron devices are made compatible, this developer package will also cover them.
