Thermocouple 250 Open Ended - Race

The Thermocouple 250 Open Ended - Race is the race edition of the open ended 250 thou thermocouple. EGT sensors monitor exhaust gas temperature and are used to monitor engine health and to tune individual cylinders.

Open ended thermocouples typically provide fast response times at the expense of long-term reliability. This race thermocouple is designed to provide fast response while remaining durable in extreme motorsport conditions, allowing an individual cylinder misfire to be observed without sacrificing sensor reliability.

Recommended sensor placement is 4 inches from the exhaust valve centreline (on 4-stroke engines), with the sensor end positioned 1/4 inch into the exhaust stream.

Tested on 12,000hp drag vehicles with heat cycles up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
